    Le Pavé

Materials of tomorrow: healthy, recycled and sustainable surfaces

With the majority of global plastic still buried or burned, Le Pavé redirects an often overlooked resource into the design industry. Transforming waste into long-lasting, high-performance surfaces, Le Pavé manufactures recycled panels designed for durability and technical performance across a wide range of applications. Its flagship material, SoftSurface is made entirely from reclaimed plastic and has already saved around 1,000 metric tonnes of plastic waste. From wall coverings and worktops to custom furniture, shelving and bespoke objects, Le Pavé equips today's creators with the tools to build responsibly and imagine better environments for tomorrow.

    About Le Pavé

What started out as a student project in 2016 grew into a business with the ambition to recycle all waste that has no other outlet. By 2017 the team started by tackling flooring, aptly naming the new production Le Pavé. Later realising that the plastic problem extends well beyond the 250 million m2 of flooring manufactured in France each year, they created a business partnership to create surfaces for many interior and exterior applications from waste plastics. Shifting production to be made entirely in their workshop in Aubervilliers, France from local waste plastics, so they can be easily collected and turned into new again.
