New Bridewell

Bold function

Durat takes centre stage at this vibrant student accommodation in Bristol, where durable surfaces meet uplifting design. From the green-speckled reception desk to kitchen islands and worktops, a space designed to be lived in with colour, creativity and comfort front of mind.

The reception sets the tone with a custom Durat desk in deep green, speckled with multi-coloured granules from production offcuts and reclaimed materials from the Murumuru collection, ideal for busy, high-traffic environments like kitchens, receptions and communal lounges. Paired with warm timber cladding and retro speaker details, the welcome feels both bold and personal. In the shared kitchen and breakout space, a white Durat surface with black speckles tops the island and worktops, offering a clean, tactile finish that holds up to daily use.

Think Inside designers show that durability and design can blend effortlessly. By specifying Durat surfaces, made from post-industrial plastic waste that are also fully recyclable, they created a space that’s circular, expressive and built to last.
