Shaping workspace design
The Guildhall Chambers project brings together a considered palette of surfaces that balance durability, tactility, and long-term use. From high-traffic worktops to finely detailed joinery, every material plays a clear role.
Durat worktops, Richlite cabinetry and Scoop-patterned surfaces unify the shelving and reception desk, creating a cohesive interior. Designed for the demands of a flexible, evolving workspace, the scheme balances durability with tactility. Designed and curated by Shape Studio, the joinery introduces rhythm and precision, with Shaped surfaces in recycled paper flowing seamlessly across the reception and shelving to establish a subtle, recognisable identity. This language continues into the kitchen, where fluted glass cabinetry adds depth and texture.
Durat worktops, made from post-production acrylic waste, offer a durable, repairable surface for high-use areas, while Richlite cabinetry brings depth and resilience, designed to age with integrity. Together, they create a workspace that feels both considered and robust - demonstrating how thoughtful material choices can shape environments that perform under pressure and endure over time.
