    • The Method Gym
    — a recycled polycarbonate with a swirling, pearlescent finish.

    The Method Gym

    Sculpted simplicity

House of Grey design The Method’s first fitness studio, a space where understated luxury meets purposeful material choices. Breaking away from the traditionally masculine and hyper-functional aesthetic of gyms, this studio embraces softness, flow and circular thinking. The layout encourages movement, with sculptural custom-made furniture pieces providing both function and form.

At the base of it all, Shape studio seamlessly curated a step display made with Plasticiet’s Mother of pearl in the colour silver. A robust surface made entirely from recycled polycarbonate. The material’s swirling, iridescent finish made through a technique inspired by taffy pulling, kneading and stretching recycled plastic while hot. Results into a pearlescent, fluid surface that confidently holds its own among more traditional high-end materials. Tactile, expressive, and rooted in circularity, the whole spatial design feels as good as it performs.
