Refined dining
Richlite brings depth and durability to the design of Flour + Water pizzeria in San Francisco's Mission Rock neighbourhood. Used across countertops, tables and benches, the material's rich leathered surface, which develops a natural patina over time, adds a tactile finish that complements the restaurant's casual yet refined atmosphere. Architect Gavin Knowles designed the space to balance takeout efficiency with relaxed dining where banquette seating and shaded outdoor tables encourage guests to linger. Ideal for high traffic dining environments, Richlite resists heat and stains, making the tabletops both functional and visually cohesive throughout the space.
Large street-facing windows draw customers into the lively pizza-making process, while custom tile work, neon signage and a mural by local artist Nicole Hayden bring colour and character to the space. The choice of Richlite also reflects the team's commitment to sustainability and aligning with their partnership through Zero Foodprint to support regenerative agriculture initiatives.
