DesignPopUp is a series of regional pop-up design events where architects and designers can experience a temporary showroom in an intimate setting. These world-class events, held over 3-days, deliver an exciting, innovative platform that showcase design products and materials in a relaxed, welcoming and buzzing environment. Each edition has the famous Parmesan and Prosecco networking party, as well as a rich program of workshops, product demonstrations, CPD events and seminars amongst a number of select exhibitions.
At #DesignPopUp Bristol & #DesignPopUp Glasgow, we’ll be showing off some interesting recycled materials and how they are used to create beautiful and useful things. You’ll see how using the right material makes all the difference in a design – like with Metem, a unique HDPE plastic made from recycled milk jugs. Because they use Metem, Loll Designs can make comfortable, durable flat-pack furniture in sleek designs with zero waste manufacturing. You'll also find felt-like EchoPanel dividing screens made from a recycled fizzy drinks bottles designed by The Collective Agency, and crochet plant pots made with recycled yarn from scrap t-shirts by Rachel Rogers and a fun pop-up bar made out of Bencore's very first 100% recycled honeycomb material.
