Skatelite is an incredibly durable solid paper composite material used as a riding surface for extreme sports. Made by Richlite, who has been manufacturing paper composite panels for more than 70 years, Skatelite is the same material that has been used by the aerospace, marine and A&D industries. The ramp surface material is the leading surface used by top skaters, BMX riders, camps, training facilities and competitions.

Fast to ride on, grippy and super strong, Skatelite is used by park managers, planners, builders and athletes alike for its smooth riding surface, low maintenance, long life and comfortable temperature. Made with paper that is either post consumer waste recycled or sustainably harvested rapidly renewable paper, Skatelite can be used raw or can be painted, custom printed or customised with vinyls. It's also an excellent for making Longboard decks.

All of the sheets can be drilled and fastened with exterior grade screws on top of a substrate for vert ramps, mini ramps, grind rails and other park features. Skatelite has a lifetime limited warranty.

USING SKATELITE

You can find Skatelite ramp surfaces in the some of the world's biggest competitions like The X-Games, Dew Tour, UK Vert Series and most of the olympic training grounds. Hoffman's record air, Danny Way's Hard Rock drop, Tom Schaar's 1080 and Tony Hawk's 900 all happened because of Skatelite. The material is weatherproof and nearly indestructible and gives riders a balance of speed and grip unlike any other ramp skins.

Skatelite has been used for more than 20 years to clad everything from backyard ramps, mini ramps, street parks, training grounds, half pipes and vert ramps all the way up to mega ramps. Hundreds of professional skaters, BMXers, ramp builders and community leaders have elevated the extreme sports industry and influenced generations of riders and fans. Whether you skateboard, inline skate, ride BMX or scooter, Skatelite can stand up to the daily punishment inside and out.

Skatelite Traxion Indoor is a new evolution in the premium ramp surface combining Skatelite’s original riding surface one side with a grippy hexagon honeycomb texture on the flipside for indoor ramps and skateparks. Traxion tech has a more reliable grip that’s actually faster and you can let it go longer between cleans and spend more time riding.

Skatelite have created some screw patterns to help with installation, but screw placement will need adjusting to work with the framing of the ramp. The diamond pattern is better for stability and a smoother ride, but the standard grid pattern is the most common on existing ramps.
